Motorists Urged to Choose Alternate Routes

As part of the Woodrow Wilson Bridge Project, weather permitting, lanes and associated ramps in the Telegraph Road interchange area of the Capital Beltway I-95/495 will be closed nightly the week of January 10 for overhead bridge work.

Motorists are encouraged to take alternate routes to avoid expected delays in the Telegraph Road interchange area. The scheduled work is as follows:

Sunday, January 10 and Monday, January 11, 2010 from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. the next morning:

• Telegraph Road North ramp to the Outer Loop (I-95/495 North)
  • Detour: Take Huntington Avenue East to U.S. Route 1 North to the ramp to the Outer Loop.

Tuesday, January 12 through Friday, January 15, 2010 from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. the next morning:

• The Capital Beltway Outer Loop (I-95/495 North) will be reduced to one lane between west of Telegraph Road and the Metro overpass.

Please use caution when traveling in this area. All construction-related work and dates are subject to change, depending on weather, material and contractor availability or other unforeseen conditions.
